EXETER TRAMPOLINE ACADEMY
Rebound Therapy for People with Disabilities
New term starts September 2021 and we now have a hoist! We are so excited to be able to offer trampolining to those that are wheelchair users or unable to climb on by themselves. We also have the exciting addition of more Rebound Therapy qualified coaches and a fully qualified physiotherapist to join our team.
Rebound therapy is when we use the sport of trampolining to aid those with disabilities to be active. The benefits of Rebound Therapy:
Improve balance, strength, muscle tone, cardiovascular fitness, internal organ massage, height and depth perception, eye contact and communication.
These many benefits are then tailored to each individual depending on their needs. Even for those bound to a wheel chair, we can make their muscles move without any weight bearing through manipulation on the trampoline. This is a whole body workout therefore not putting too much pressure on one area of the body. Our qualified coaches will lead the session being patient and encouraging to achieve as much as possible.
First session of initial assessment - 45 minutes £30 and then a plan can be put in place to help you get the most out of your sessions.
Rebound Therapy with Physiotherapist £60/hour
Rebound Therapy with Trampoline Coach £40/hour (dependent on needs after initial assessment)
If you wish to bring your own physiotherapist along for our coaches to work with please let us know.
